Proper Packing Materials and Equipment

Packing materials like boxes, wardrobe boxes, corrugated cardboard, good tape, pro-wrap and bubble wrap aren’t cheap, and if you are buying your own it’s hard to know how much you’ll need. Some customers often end up buying too much or having to drive somewhere to get more several times while they are packing which is very time consuming and means you overspend.

Materials we use are recorded so you are only billed for what is used. The team will always be fully equipped with what is needed and to top it all, we offer free delivery service leading up to move day if you wanted to get started and make a dent. NOTE: This is also a service we offer if you are doing the pack yourself. Please call the office to arrange a delivery!

How can we prepare for a pack?

Very good question! Here’s a note from our general manager (experienced packer) to give you an insight from our team’s perspective: Stickers or sticky notes on shelves/items not to be packed, this could be personal things like meds or overnight bags, or cleaning products. Sticky note on the door of rooms for where contents will go to in the new home. If we are doing a 2-day pack and move, leave personal items and overnight bags on the beds or a clear area so we don’t pack them. Same goes for the kitchen, what you need for the night I.e. a few plates, cups and cutlery. The following day (move day), we can finish the packing and do the relocation at the same time. It’s easier and faster for us work through the rooms with clear notes so we don’t have to keep coming to find you and ask questions.

Do you supply packing materials?

Yes. We can supply all the appropriate packing materials and offer a free delivery service even if you are doing the pack yourself. Take the opportunity to ask our team any questions or tips while you have them ahead of move day. TIP: Wardrobe boxes are perfect for keeping your hanging clothes clean, organized, and together. They make packing and unpacking much quicker and easier. Please give us a call to discuss our rental service.

We also offer a free pickup service to reuse the materials for staff or family members. Sorry we don’t offer a buy-back scheme.

How much do packing services cost?

This is the golden question and every pack is different. Costs depend on the size of your property and the amount of packing required. Please note, homes with high amount of fragiles, delicates and crystal will take longer to pack to make sure everything is wrapped up professionally and safely. TIP: Please contact us for a free appraisal so we can discuss the specifics in person. This is often easier so we can gauge the scope of work involved and answer any questions you have.

Yes, and there has never been a pack too big for us but please make sure to arrange a free appraisal so we can pencil in dates and discuss timing. We never want to overcommit and want to make sure a realistic time frame has been discussed. We offer full-service packing and moving solutions, including delicate and fragile items, and heavy, awkward or specialist items.
